Help in identifying a bottle

[P2 Dive]

I found this bottle underwater near Whidbey Island Washington. I think it might be a ballast bottle but so far in my research I haven't been able to find anything that looks similar to it. It is green blown glass, no seams up the sides, numerous bubbles and irregular in shape. It is a little over 8 inches in length, 3 inches in diameter and holds 16 ounces of water. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Chianti Wine bottle that had reeds wrapped around it giving it a flat surface, a staple in Italian Restaurants in every state in the union...

It's a small Chianti bottle. It would have been covered in raffia.

Thanks. I have been finding liquor bottles in the same area that are in the 1890 to 1910 era so I thought this might something from around the same period. I'm a neophyte in bottle collecting even though I have been diving for 42 years.

It may be that old, these have been made for a long time...

No matter how old it is though, it is still a cool looking little bottle.
