Hey guys. We've been searching for information on Altmann's Syracuse, NY all afternoon and have come up with nothing. Anyone have any ideas?
Amber bottle, stands 9.5 inches, 2.5 inch base with a 30 embossed. nothing on the back, but

Altmann
Syracuse, NY
embossed on the shoulder; and along the bottom
13 1/2 fluid oz

Sorry, hard to get a good picture of the embossing. May have to try again in the daylight.

Hey Ace of Spades are you a local? I'm from the amsterdam area and your bottle says syracuse. The name is familar but I can't remember where I heard it last. I thought it was a beer, myself. Swizzle

I have a green 6 1/2 ounce bottle that has the embossed words "Altmann's best by test" and "Syracuse, NY" on it.

Some type of soda bottle but I cannot find any info on it either.

Here you go.

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mstone/altmann-av.html

"In the year 1898, Anton V. Altmann established a restaurant (at 209 North Salina Street?). Along with operating his cafe, he also founded a bottling works for which he and his sons would become well-known in Syracuse. He ran the restaurant until 1919 (bringing Rhine wines home for his customers from his trips abroad) and was president of the Altmann Bottling Company, which seemed to specialize in bottling and advertising Schlitz beer.
