I picked this one up last week at a flea market. I have been soaking it to remove gunk that had dried inside it. The bottle is amethyst, 9 1/2" tall and 2" diameter at base. It has one sunken label panel. What intrigued me was the bottom of the bottle, an embossed bird. I did a search on this site and could not find anything similar. My thought was the bottle might have originally contained dressing/olive oil...any thoughts to it's purpose and maker?

I checked the Bottle Makers ID site without success. Seems like I've seen that bird before. The bottle looks like a sauce / olive oil / catsup etc. type bottle. Pretty tough to be sure w/o a label.

My thoughts also. Thanks all-if anymore thoughts or maker's identity...I'm all ears!
