Hello,

A friend of mine found a Dubuque hutch soda bottle on a job site. It is embossed with "Williams Bros Dubuque IA" on the front. There is an SB & G Co mark on the back toward the bottom. Next to that is a small "94". My guess to that is 1894. I will post a pic tomorrow, as I left the bottle at work.
Any thoughts to rarity and value would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance......Dave

Streator Bottle and Glass Company.. from Streator, Illinois.. 1881 - 1906.. I don't even have to look up that factory mark anymore. It was a productive facility. The bottle itself will need to be seen, of course.. I left things at work many times, so I won't hold it against you this time, _ ...[;)]

Hello Dave,

Welcome to A-BN, and thanks for posting the Williams Hutch.

I'm a poor judge of value, and know nothing of Iowa bottles, but from recent Williams Bros. auctions on fleabay for the blobs, I don't imagine the value to be to high. There's a quart blob that sold @ $25 in April. There's a Putnam wired one that sold for the minimum of $9.99 in June.

Normally, when I think of the Williams Brothers and geography, I think of Des Moines...[8D]
