Dug this toc tooled top amber med yesterday with embossing in script, same on both side panels. Looks like a doctors signature so VERY difficult to accurately read. I think it reads hemabaloids, near as I can decipher. Base embossed The Palisade/MFG. Co./Yonkers, NY. I know they manuf. the Borolyptol clear and cobalt but that is smaller at 5+ inches. This one is 7 1/4" tall and only sides and base embossed. Having zero luck finding any info on this product. Fike lists the Borolyptol and company as starting ca.1895, which would be the EARLIEST that came out of this late 90's-'05ish pit. Any info on this one appreciated. Thanks in avance. Jack

WOW! Fascinating! Thanks Michael.... I am medically trained and would find the average country doctor in 1900 having difficulty navigating this flowery prose, though I was having trouble in the beginning with figuring when it was written. Technical parts almost sounded as if it was written in this day and age! I figured hema was related to the blood and was hoping for more of a bitters type tonic, which I guess as an iron supplement it would be. Very cool info, thanks again....Especially for the correct spelling of this product, hemabOloids Jack

I actually love researching history, and have the Chronicling America link and google books links on my quick link bar. Most people on here know TONS more about bottles than I do, because for the first 30+ years of collecting, I did no research. Didn't care about the origins, just liked the bottles. Now I am more about the research than the bottles, which is why I have decided to start selling off my collection. I am going to (mostly) limit my collection to north Florida bottles, so have hutches and meds and stuff from all over that will be hitting the auction block before too long.

Shoot! Jim (epackage) does much better research than I am capable of. Don't know how he comes up with some of the stuff he finds. Never comes up on my searches.
