these historical flasks, what glass houses made them? and did these houses keep a record of how many of each design were made. and how long were they in production? enquiring minds want to know.[]
There are only three flasks known with Dyottville embossed on them, and the only three that we can be 100% sure came from the Dyottville Glass works in phila.
The G11-38 American Eagle (1850 -60).
The G1-37 Washington Taylor father of his country,General Taylor never surrenders,(quart)
And the G1-38 same as above but in pint size.(1847-55)
we have the G11-38 (whole)
Two of the flasks we put back together are of Washington & Taylor, they have no embossing,
but chances are thay came from Dyottville. But we cant say for sure.
Another one we pieced back to life is a Coffin & Hay from Hammonton Glassworks in NJ.
the glasshouse was circa(1812-57) the flask was blown in 1836-38 Bodine Coffin & Andrew Hay
where the owners.
The Anchor flask is a G111-57 Isabella Glassworks Brooklyn NJ that was a rare one.(1850-60)
The Summer tree Summer tree is dated (1850-60) the glassworks in still unknown
And the scroll flask is a 2 star and that glassworks is also unknown.
That's most of them we have a yellow-green clasped hands and a light blue Washington
that need more work. Rick
