We found them in my wife grandmothers attic, I just cant find solid info about them. Glad I found this forum

What a nice piece....for more information you could contact Waasdorp auctions- they deal with stoneware.Jeff Noordsy would be another person to contact.......

Mogadore, Ohio, ca 1840-1860. 4 gallon capacity stamp. Slightly ovoid form, three incised annular rings around shoulder, and lug handles, with daubed cobalt decoration around the handles and stamps; 13.25" high.
Condition: Tight 4" hairline at back rim; few potstones and crazing to glaze." From.

Isaac Mead lived not very far from where I live. I've heard he was a potter from 1838 to 1860.

Nice crock! Made just a few miles from where I live. I've found many broken Mead crocks in dumps and even one in my yard, but haven't found a whole one. It's on my wish list along with a S. Purdy crock, another local potter.
