info on bottle

hello johnwatson, in searching for info on your schweppes torpedo i came across these pics of some, i was curious to know if may be torpedo would not apply here, may be some of the veterans here would know, i will keep up the search for your bottle and good luck in your search.

Hi johnwatson welcome to the forum.
Your bottle is a flat bottom soda called a skittle, they where basicly a torpedo made so it can stand up. They date up to about 1915 with a blob top like your one, it's a fairly common bottle but still nice to find.
If you do a search of this site for "schweppes" you will find a good bit of info here on the company.

Hi guys
I'm not a soda collector......But , I believe I have heard collectors here in the states call this shape a ten pin . Correct ???? Brian

I've heard them called that too now that you mention it, A ten pin and a skittle are more or less the same thing so I suppose it's sort of the same name [;)] .
