Ink Bottle?

I dug this up in my yard last year along with a handful of 1880's stuff. I assumed it was an ink bottle, but I couldn't find anything on line from my brief search. It has no seams, but seems very symmetrical. It's 4 inches high.

Interesting little bottle,...doesn't quite look like an ink, but similar enough that it could be...almost has an english look to it. Put's me in mind of a Lysol bottle although I realize it's not. ???

It reminds me of a Bovril bottle. That was a beef drink...vitamins and such.
