I have been digging and finding insulators ever since I started collecting bottles and I have a few boxxes full. I found a box full of the wood pegs a while back and decided to make a ccrossbar for some of them. Tell me what you think. I am going to put it on a pole in the front yard to enjoy them.

Looks great! And you found them all yourself, too! Congrats on a nice little collection!
I have been meaning to devise some sort of display pole myself, but the best thing I've developed is an old, dead tree in my side-yard, with a couple old crossarms attached.
Enjoy them!

i like to put one in my mailbox, along with an arm or two out back but do be careful where you put them. Someone stole one of my mailbox once and i'de hate for that to happen to all the nice ones you have. Fortunately the people who took mine got a hemingray-42 that was cracked in half...
Nice display, post a picture of it when it's all set up. I've been meaning to get apicture of mine, but i dont think it's complete yet.

GOTTA QUESTION FOR THE INSULATOR PEOPLE ON HERE . 2 WEEKS AGO WHILE WALKING DOWN A FT WORTH TEXAS RAILLINE ,THE OLD ONE , I FOUND 26 HEMMINGRAYS 40,42,43,44,45 THEY WERE CLEAR AQUA AND BLUES , SOME WERE STILL ON THE POLE CROSSBARS WHERE THEY WHERE CUT DOWN YEARS AGO . CROSSBARS ARE 6 FT LONG . ANYWAY I SET ASIDE 26 OF THEM IN A PILE . ALMOST A MILE BACK TO TRUCK WALKING DOWN THE CREEK . FOUND A ROAD I COULD HAVE MY WIFE DROP ME OFF AT THAT IS LESS THAN 100 YARDS FROM THEM . I WAS THINKING THAT THEY WERE LESS THAN A DOLLAR A PIECE AND NOT WORTH GOING BACK FOR EXCEPT FOR MAYBE USING IT FOR A CLOTHES LINE WITH THE CROSSBEAMS . SHOULD I , AM I WRONG ON THE VALUE , THE ONES I PILED UP ARE MINTY ,NO DINGS . SAM

Here's an idea for your insulator display. My Dad took a 4X4 and put the pegs up and down it and made it go from the ceiling to the floor and made it so it turns. So you have insulators on all 4 sides from the top to the bottom and you can inspect each one. It's pretty cool. Did I explain it clear enough?? Renee`
