Here is an ESCO Distinctive Embalming bottle. Is has an outline of the Washington monument with a scale from 16 to 2 going up it. Is it considered a poison? Any idea of value? Thanks Fred

Hi Fred, Embalming bottles are collected as a subcategory of poison bottles. Rudy Kuhn listed them in his Poison Bottle Workbooks. There are some cool varieties of them, the one you have is one of the nicer ones I have seen. Unfortunately, my poison book does not list embalming bottles [] and my knowledge of them is limited as far as value. Jim

Fred- Any time. Glad I could help!

GH- They do have a certain eeriness about them, simply for what their use was. I dig them in my dump once in a while, and they always stir up thoughts of an old mortician's lab and a corpse or two [&:] Jim
