Is this onion bottle and what is vermo bitters

Does anyone know about these bottles, is the green one an onion bottle and what was is used for and what is the vermo bitters, the contents are still in it? These are my mother in laws bottles, she is clearing out their collection. Thanks

I've been selling bottles on ebay for my mother in law, there are some that we can't find what they are, hopefully you all can help me. Thanks so much. I think this is an onion bottle but not sure what was in it, looks like a wine bottle.??

Does the second one have a pontil?

Here is the base, its not a pontil but the bottom goes inside the bottle, what is that called anyway?

Its called a kickup base.

Okay, thanks, I'll have to remember that. Here is another one. Its a flask, probably a suvenior, it says Antique Bottle Collector's of Colorado 1887 Denver Col and on the back the prospector Pikes Peak, the bottom has what looks like a small pontil probably a fake, the top is sheared??

Thanks, I won't, this is actually getting down to some of the last of our bottles, we did sell alot of them on ebay, some flasks and soda bottles, poisons, did pretty good over that last few months, I wish I knew about your website first. Here is another bottle, its small about 7 inches and is dark dark amber with a hint of red in it. Thin on the side, could it be a type of flask/jug? What is it for? Thanks lobeycat
