Hi Everyone !
I was wondering if this is an ink bottle. It looks like the English Inks I see but this one is very small at 2 3/4" high.
Do you think it's older or a repro ?
No spout.
Two pics to follow.
Thanks in advance !

Commonly found here in the United Kingdom usually described as a blackening pot not an ink.

Very common in the UK. Perhaps used for various contents, but I have seen one with a label for varnish.

These bottles in there larger sizes were certainly used for contents previously mentioned but because of its small size would think another possibility was for holding Mercury. This bottle would date from around 1880- 1900.
