With the sometimes / often confusion of the definition of the word "Clear" , I believe folks lose the importance of the "COLORLESS" definition of "Clear". An item you can easily see through is "Clear" regardless of it's color These "COLORLESS" jars George shows are FAR more unusual than their colored cousins.ORIGINAL: georgeoj
From the crude collection.
I suppose it would depend on when one viewed it. Before or after the U.V. rays turned it amethyst. [] I do agree, if it's SCA then it's not "Colorless". I just like using the terms "Colorless" or "Aqua" (or whatever color one THINKS it is) rather than "Clear" for NO color. Colorless is VERY descriptive of the point one is trying to get across, Clear is NOT. IMO. After all, don't we all know the George Strait song: Blue Clear Sky?ORIGINAL: MNJars
Is that a slight amethyst tone I see in that NCLCo? That might throw a wrench into Jim's "colorless" definition!
