It's stoneware, slick, crude, old but I like it.

That's an interesting little crock, maybe a cheese jar? I don't remember seeing one with that style of lip before. I like the bird embossing on that beer too!

What ever it was used for, they didn't care what it looked like. The swirl on the lip,and the dot on the bottom are so smooth,and it's not cracked.

Do you know the age of the stoneware? I have a jug in the exact same coloring and crude glazing, I don't know anything about it
