I just picked up this J & E Norton Bennington Vt crock with a cobalt blue bird on a branch decoration. It is has a slight ovoid shape with handles on the side. About 8 and 1/2 inches tall. Great shape, just a 1/8th by 1/2 little chip on the handle and some very, very small and minor glaze pops. No cracks, repairs or other chips.

$425 plus shipping. I can post more pics if someone is intersted.

That is very beautiful. I have always loved the stylized birds they painted on them. Was it always birds? Are there examples of other animals?

There are lots of other animals, typically more expensive. I've had two chickens pecking at the ground, but have seen deer, fish, dogs, cats, buildings, and people.

Opps, I made a mistake there, I meant (2) crocks with each having one chicken pecking the ground.

I already regret selling the one, it was basically perfect, 3 gallons, with a huge blue chicken, but I would really regret selling one with 2 chickens on it.
