According to my old #8 Red Book it is number 2306 and the jar itself has no embossing. Complete, the jar is valued at $70 - 80 and that is an old price so it could be worth more. It also says the closure value is 40 - 50% of the value so without the proper wire clip I would say the glass lid alone should be worth $25 or more. Terrific find in my opinion. Perhaps those more up to date will chime in. Jim

Well, according to that my valuation is WAY off. Buy it now for $8.95. The only picture I would have is the one id the red book which doesn't tell us much. It's a very plain straight sided jar, rounded shoulder, wire clip. Maybe someone knows how to post a picture of the jar.
