I have found a bitters bottle along the Powder River, Kaycee, WY. All I can find on the web about it is that it's been reproduced by Wheaton. So how do you tell if you've found a real, COL. SAMJOHNSON-PROPRIETOR-RICHMOND. VA.-18 52-ALANCASTERS- INDIANVEGETABLE-(J IS MADE BACKWARDS) JAUNDICEBITTLRS (I've spelled and spaced this just as it's on the bottle.), bottle? Or is there no such thing? Bottle is a purplish/pinkish brown. Stands 2 3/4 inches high. Round with twelve sides. Has seams all the up to the lip. A seam right under the lip. It's horribly canted to one side. Still has it's cork. Says "Made in Taiwan" on the bottom.
