Kings Patent Bottle

I picked up this snuff bottle over the weekend. It has really strong embossing and a rough cut pontil which makes bottle barley stand up. With the words Kings Patent I figured this was a british made bottle but seller told me it was a US bottle. I have had only one other chance to buy a bottle like this one and it was priced very high and had a broken lip. I passed on it and found this one a few years later in great condition and more affordable price.

This bottle at 3 3/4 inches tall appears to be larger than the ones I've seen in the past. Maybe Im wrong and they were all that tall. Old age memory lapse.

Very crude, I'd say that would date around 1800. Could be an american copy cat. Nice find.
