I've read in a couple places now, that the ACL "Coke" logo on the neck of the 6 1/2 oz standard hobbleskirt bottles started in 1958 on the transition (half ACL, half embossed) bottles, but was only on some bottles and only became commonplace in 1961.

And this is one of the mentions, found in Doug McCoy's book about Coke bottles:
I was just wondering if anyone owns, or has actually seen a 1958 or 1959 bottle with the neck logo? I have a 1960 myself, but so far that is the earliest I have seen. Someone on facebook mentioned that they didnt used the "circle R" logo until 1960 and later...
