I think I finally located the privy of the house mentioned in my last post entitled "Where to dig". My partner and I started to dig today, but we didnt find anything big yet. We only dug down about 2 feet and found a few pieces of borken glass, coal, and some kale leaves. How deep were these privies, and at how deep should I start finding the bottles? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks--Justin

Hi Justin, I'm afraid to say, you've probably just 'scratched the surface'![&:] If you check out some of the privy digging web sites, you'll discover that some can go as deep as 12 - 15 feet or more[8D]. There's one 'monster' brick lined cistern that went over 26 feet deep! So keep digging, keep digging! Good Luck![;)]
