Long Island bottle...soda?

Not sure about this bottle, it's probably very common, but I'm just interested in what liquid was in it. Coincidentally, it was manufactured by the Hicksville Bottling Company, right by where I live.

You have an art deco soda from the 1920 to 1940 era.

its impossible to know exactly what was in it , as most of those clear soda bottles from that era don't say and most companies would of made more than 1 type of pop and likely used same bottle for a few different flavours of pop . but it is a neat bottle for sure I like the design

Yup, the flavor would be on the cap or a label around the neck ... or both.

Nice bottle. Most of the deco style crowns I have were fruity flavors. Grape, Orange, etc etc.

I live in Hicksville too. Just moved here. Ive got a couple Hicksville bottles. The Hicksville bottling works must have been in business for a long time - ive got one with a blob top from the early 1900s.

I actually live in Commack, but my dad is from Hicksville. I have two hicksville bottles-the one here and the one posted by me before....it has an eagle on it. (don't know how old it is)

I looked at the one with the eagle. I like it. I've got a deco soda from westbury and one from Baldwin - ill post some pics this week.
