I HAVE ONE FROM MERIDIAN , MISS. IT'S A 6 1/2 OZ. BOTTLE , VERY CRUDE WITH THE NAME ON SIDE AND BOTTOM AND A 16 ON THE BOTTOM . ANYONE INTERESTED ? LET ME KNOW.
Dawson was the first franchised bottler of Chero-Cola outside of Columbus, GA. You should be able to locate a "Horseshoe" script, a "straightline" script, and a block letter style of both the 7oz. and 6.5 oz variety, as well as the "swirl" style from Dawson, if they were open for business long enough. I had a case of Cuthbert Chero's I dug a few years ago. All sold off & traded now....
I have only been able to locate the block script...i have 3 different versions of it. It doesn't surprise me that Dawson had the first franchise outside of Columbus because I read a while back that the inventor of Chero Cola was actually born in Dawson and had close family ties there growing up. Anyone got any pics of the other versions? Or samples from other towns?
