Seems like people dig up alot of lightning rod insulators (L.R.I.'s) in dumps and such so if you got one i'de like to se a picture of it. Recently i'm more interested in these little pieces of glass so i would be interested in seeing what styles the people here have managed to find. I'll post my two when i get the chance.

that green slash top is anice one, where do you find those? I see them from time to time on the sides of houses but i wouldnt know how to get those ones.

Be picky, and carry common ones and a ladder. Knock on the door and ask if you can have them. If they say no, ask if you can replace them. Tell them you're a budding new collector, and are trying to add to your collection. I've climbed the sides of buildings, and dug them in both dumps and privies. []

i'll see what i can do, just today i was lookin for insulators (found 2) and saw a couple houses with tons and tons of little spool LRI's and keyway LRI's all over. Nice ones. Mixed in with all the keyways i thought i saw a spratt but it wasnt the typical spratt color. hmmmm

In the case of the green one,Josh wedged himself between two brick building and shimmied up about 20 ft. and ripped it off the side of the building.Spiderman comes to mind when speaking of that occasion[]

i see that green one, i would have probably done the same thing if i saw one without it's wire. I'll keep lookin around at old buildings and such during my hunts.

Here are a couple that I have dug. The Spratts came from 1 dump and the other 2 came from another. Both dumps in Massachusetts.
