traded a local med today that i had doubles of two of the same bottle, i have never heard or seen this one, has anyone else?

I've not heard of it before you brought it to our attention. Nice bottle, indeed. The Pacific States Telephone & Telegraph Co., in their February 1903 directory lists Sonoma Preserves as "South 491. Sonoma Preserve Co., 522—5th." Found here.

This guy from Vancouver, B.C. has, perhaps a cousin bottle from Petaluma here.nThe Sonoma Preserve Co. of petaluma won an award for pickles and sauces at the Chicago Worlds Fair of 1893. Found about 3/8 of the way down the page over here. This last one was a pretty interesting description of the California exhibit at the fair. There was a ton of glassware used in the exhibit.
