Hi all!
I found this today while metal detecting (I ended up not finding a thing with my MD, but did find about 100+/- bottles from the early 1900s)
it says:
and on the back it says:
I had some questions and since I couldn't find much information on this bottle, I figured I'd ask here
Question 1: It had what looks like a huge finger print on the base. Is that from an Owens Bottle Machine? There are a bunch of upside down 'V' shaped bubbles on it.
Question 2: It has some lines near the bottom of the base that I thought were cracks until I realized that one, they're raised, and two, the bottle holds every drop of water I put in it. Are these raised lines also part of the manufacturing process?
Question 3: Where do I sell it? Ebay? Would it sell at all? Don't get me wrong, I love old bottles and both the style and history fascinate me, but I simply don't have the room to collect more things. I'd love to go back to where I found this fellow and bring back all of the others, but unless I can do something with them, it's not worth the effort =(
any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
I can also take more pictured if anyone is interested!
Thank You
