Dug a 1917 dime today! I'm stoked! My first silver Dime!

Thanks! Haven't been detecting long, but my first week I found an old Silver Mickey Mouse ring that paid for my detector in the first week. Pretty happy about the dime because I almost gave up on it. It was abou 4 inches deep wih 2inchs of it being gravel, and the other 2 being rock hard packed ground.

Nice find!!! it's definitely addicting. What machine are you running? You may want to also check out friendly metal detecting forums. Great place, great people. Very similar to this forum in that respect. We have quite a few md'ers on the unexpected discoveries area on here. Should come visit.
