Milk Bottle?

I found this one several months ago with no luck as to the contents, manufacture etc. 6 1/2" in height, 2" base. has a #1 and #16 on the bottom, no other markings I can find. Could this possibly be a milk or cream bottle judging by the top or possibly a soft drink of some type?

It's not a milk David, it's a food jar, most likely tomatoes or soemthing like that...
