Hello... I am new here and well new to bottles as well... We have been doing some digging in our yard and came across a ton of milk bottles... Can someone point me in the right direction on finding out if they are worth anything, worth my time cleaning them out, etc... Found some other misc bottles as well and currently have some of them soaking in a tub of water... My husband seems to think I should just toss them and he doesn't want them "sitting around"... I on the other hand grew up in the country and love old things... Someone please help me win this debate... lol

Welcome to the forum. :) First-off, are the bottles shoulder-embossed (up near the neck, but not on neck just yet is shoulder-embossed. Embossed is raised lettering. Debossed is sunken-in lettering) only, or something like these? (Click blue word.) If they are not round, but are as rounded squares, are they embossed or do they have what is called an ACL on them-- Applied Colored Label, aka Pyroglazing in the milk realm? An ACL looks something like paint on the bottle, like these? Some rounded milks have ACLs too. Some squarish milks are only embossed. Some are mixed. If they are embossed, what do they say? If you can, please upload images. Condition is everything on embossed and ACL bottles. Down here in my post on this link, I explain how to upload pics. Admin also provides a link to his explanation. If your husband mostly just sits around, tell him that you'll toss him too. LOL.

Looks like you have some good ones definitely worth keeping. But it's hard to make out what they say.The Health Permit one is very interesting.

What do the tops of the amber bottles look like? Do seams go up the lip? The Citrate is very common-- my first dug bottle was the same one. The Middle River and aqua one I cannot read look very nice. I really like them, and those are definitely worthy of display. The jar looks like it got melted a bit. lol.
