Very excited. I’ve been looking for bottles as I search for fossils in a stream and when I walk on the beach. I’ve wanted to get more serious and have kept my eyes open as I walk around Jersey City which was settled in the 1600s. Today I was walking by a demolished funeral home and saw access for the back hoe was from a now empty lot around the corner. There was about a foot between the foundation of the demolished home and the still standing home next to it. I saw glass shards and grabbed a couple of sticks and started scraping away. Nothing old - probably 50-60s era but they are treasures for me. Guessing the Coca Cola jug was fountain syrup. I like the little Guildens mustard jar and for sentimental reasons the Rheingold beer bottle I will try to go back this weekend with a trowel and see what else I can find

That Guildens mustard jar style was used since the 1920's. Not sure the age of yours. You go down by the river? There has to be some great spot down around there.
