Wonderful collection, there are some top-notch buttons in there. Got any George Washington inaugurals or the like in the accumulation? Those ornate oriental themed buttons look splendid and I have a feeling that there may be some sleepers in there worth big bucks. One can't dig buttons in the conditions those are in. Bet there are thousands of dollars in that collection. Thanks for sharing, more pics would be appreciated.
Got the rest of the pictures uploaded. Inside there were serial boxes that has a bunch of non-mounted buttons and some notes written. One of those boxes was FILLED with "I LIKE IKE" style buttons. She actually use to go to button shows with this collection, as I understand. Apparently some were quite a bit of money at the time, wonder what they'd be worth now! [8D]
I found a sheet of them that I really like. Blurry, I had to take these with my iPhone. My regular camera stopped reading SD cards for some reason. Might have to buy another one later.
These little classy buttons stood out to me. They were in a sheet that has buttons with stones/artificial Diamonds. Almost all the other stones had faded, but the stones on these two (the eyes) remained bright and shiny. From every real/fake stone I've seen, these look real.[8|]
This button was inside a case.
Here were some of the notes I found inside the box (also with the button above). Both envelopes were sealed shut with rips and I couldn't get them open. Just leave them as is for now until I find out more.
Glued down with another note inside (the rip in the middle was there before)
Another. I guess someone tried to open these and it didn't work out.
This was my grandmother's Silverware set as well. I counted 71 pieces in total. Some of the knives at the top are missing and there's a large stack of spoons and forks at the bottom. [8D]
