This is the one she questioned me about. Forget about a new motor for my truck let alone new living room furniture. At leat I got my priorities in order. Got it didn't I Matt. Did Kathy and yourself see what this cost? Jeezus H. Christ wasn't expecting that, but I meant to get it and I did. It's winner though. Charleston,S.C. 1949
Way to go Pat!. I saw that you won that. It may sound crazy but I think that one is worth what you paid for it. I like the color combo, the pic, the embossing. Not to mention I think that is a really rare bottle. It's gonna look good next to all of your SC bottles.[]
Yep John that was me. Made a big jump them last 4 secs. I had to go out left my bid came home to see it move by 50 then the big jump. Naw Matt I don't think I paid two much, just wish I could have gotten it for a little less. The other one you showed me brought what 1/4 as much as this one. I belive on the other Chstn. wasn't on the bottle. So I guess there is three types of these bottles. Rare? My two that one and the two Jimmie W. has are the only ones I know about. Last time I spoke w/ him we discussed this bottle. I'd pay that and more again for it or one on my wish list. Now if I just had that Kick or White Rose.
Hey Pat, I was watching both of those, figured you'd bid on both being that they are SC bottles. I have a Savannah H & D and a Florence Hage and Hage. I believe I have seen an H & H ?? Love the Like Me bottle, I love bottles that have both embossed and painted names. Glad you gottum both!
There is an H&H from Savannah and 2 sizes of Hage and Hage. I did a post a year or so ago about them in it. Tom where are you in Ga? When we gonna see some of your's? Looking for Ga. and N.C. bottles too. Any x-tra? Shamrock-Bogo Chic- Trammel Bros an inverted Red Race from Valdosta? Got a question for ya. On e-Bay there is a feller in Augusta w/ a bottle called Buddys is that a Ga. bottle? He's not responding to me. Thanks
Hey Pat, I'm in Washngton Ga, been collecting since 1977 when I found a B & N, Bryan's and Nim's, and Brim's?? on my great aunt's back porch in Sandersville. Probably twenty years ago I found a Buddy's in a shop in Augusta. It seems like in was under John C. Calhoun expressway on one of the side streets. Went back later, never saw the shop again. The back of my bottle has The talk of the Town... BUDDY'S...Orange Grape Nectar Root Beer Tastreet?? Lime...Lemon...Dr. Herring's ginger ale... No town listed. I think the one on ebay is the first or 2nd I've seen since mine. Cool shaped bottle. It is a LGW bottle. As far as the Red Race are concerned, I have neither red and white or white and red. Would love to have both. Pictures in the future...got a full plate right now. I know you're about 30 or 40 miles from Augusta, we'll have to get in touch.
