First off, it looks as if all those that made it to the Bottle Show had a great time!! [:D] I wish I could have made it, but it was a little far away, and so I had to entertain myself in other ways. [:)]

I've always wanted one of these, but I could never seem to pry one out of the foundation of any of the old buildings around here... the property owners frown upon that sort of thing. [:eek:]

And so, I found this piece of hewn granite out on a creek and lugged it home... 110 pounds in all!! I used a center punch and a 5# hand sledge. It took about an hour a letter, but it was worth it!

It's about 1 foot square by 6 inches deep...

It will have an honored space in the garden somwhere, because SWMBO (she who must be obeyed) won't like it next to the fireplace where I'd like to see it! [:mad:]

Maybe someday I'll get lucky and find a real one!
