I recently found a very broken but neat bottle in an early war Yankee winter camp in Southern Maryland. Have checked several reference bitters and whiskey books to include Mike Russell's Civil War Period Bottles & Jars and still no refernce of this bottle. After several pain-staking hours, I was able to glue most of the bottle back together. It is embossed HF&B N.Y. and is a puce amber color with a smooth base.
