Hi Everyone !
I'm just getting started at digging old bottles and would apperciate your recommendations
on a good book that will help me in the identification and valuation process. As a beginner, I
don't want to spend a fortune ($75.00 and up). I just want something good , but not necessarily outstanding.

Please advise title and author. Also, if possible, price and retailer.

Thanks for your help ! [;)]

most books are written with a specific group of bottles in mind. such as soda , milk, cures, bitters, etc. post the type bottles you are interested in and someone should be able to recommend some good books.

Thanks John, I appreciate your response and advice. Since I'm just getting
started in bottle digging, I don't know what I want to specialize in, so for now
I'll call myself a "maverick" collector. I was hoping to get a recommendation
on a good beginners book that would be general in nature. I any event, I was
eager to absorb some knowledge, so went ahead and made a choice for myself
and bought the 5th Edition of "Antique Trader-Bottles Identification & Price Guide",
by Michael Polak. It has most of the information I was seeking for now.
Again, thanks for your help.
