...so the basic design continued into the automatic bottle machine era. Presumably the broad shoulders and small number of flutes must have influenced the design of the early coca cola bottles. I would have said that mine was way too small to have held any sort of drink. It contains about 200ml or 7 fluid ounces.

Why would Beech Nut be grape juice? I swear it was chewing gum when I was a kid.

Pepper sauce in bottles was sold at least as early as the 1840/50s. Much of it in this country was imported from Europe through NewYork and Philadelphia companies.
