Here are some finds from eBay; the entity we all both love and hate for reasons which often overlap, depending upon which side of the transaction we are on:
Cannabis Apothecary. A solid investment in my book, and a very interesting piece of drug history for anyone who is aware of the nature of the substance. No damage, just some minor crackling of the waxy substrate under the glass cover due to its age.
An AWESOME book by Kellogg regarding the deleterious effects of tobacco, from 1922! I got it for a tad over 20 bucks and it is invaluable in terms of its historical implications. Many people trump up the surgeon general's report on the dangers of tobacco which was put out 40 years later, but few realize the extent of the knowledge of the dangers of the substance which were known decades beforehand. This kellogg was the same man who brought us the cereal we all know.
13 by 16 inch thick cardboard advertising poster for Krinkle Corn Flakes. A tad over 10 bucks, oh yeah!
1885 Physiology, Hygeine and Narcotics textbook. Pretty nifty, i'd say.
11 monthly late 1920s periodicals from a drug store in Michigan. I like paper items, so this material is cool to me despite being not as desirable as the previous items.
Great SS coke bottle from Peoria.
A nice antique hand-vice. I will be using it for carving stone and sharpening blades.
From elsewhere:
A nice ferruginous marble pedestal saved from a dumpster at a century-old university building. It has some chunks missing but it works just fine. 45 pounds. Bacon on the top for comic effect. []
1 gallon Hutchinson bottlers supplies bottle shown for more adequate scale
Woohoo! []
