I started metal detecting. Kept finding bottles. Learned about bottle digging researching a small collection I inherited.

Went out Saturday to explore an abandoned property with a chimney remaining on it. On my way back, I began seeing a lot if broken glass. That's when I found the very deep creek. Bottles everywhere! The creek bed is very steep and you cannot hardly walk on it because it seems to be made of glass. So I grabbed what I could. Will have to make several trips. Everything seems to date 1930s to 40s. The last 3 pics are items I can't identify. If anyone has any guesses please comment.

I'll take pics of site next trip.

Hello Sabrina,

Welcome to A-BN and the joys of digging old glass. Dig deeper...

You're showing a polish, another polish, and a shampoo here.

Thanks guys I'm trying to learn the types I've got the dating part down. I know these aren't super collectible but I know I'm close to finding some good stuff over there. There's a privy about 50 feet from the creek. And a trail of odds and ends from the privy to the creek bed. I think I'm going to get a probe and see if there's anything in the privy. Pray for my husband lol a he will be digging if there is!

nothing too incredible looks to be a standard 40's -50's era dump site , i've dug a number of those myself and don't usually find much hope to find some older dumps this spring that yield older bottles .

the bottle beside coca cola in first pic looks to be a " royal crown " pop bottle maybe
