Well George I just got back to look at your latest pictures. The marks on the thread are caused by tool chatter in the tool used to cut the threads. No doubt there was probably a bad bearing in the spindle holding the threading tool. Before the advent of the Kelley Threading Machine, made by Kelly Tool and Machine Company in Eighty Flour PA. different set-ups were sometimes bad news.
Regarding the marks near the lettering only hand held evaluation could help. Early mold lettering had a lot of difficulty filling the letters without extensive venting and before chilling the mold iron to provide the progressive straight out dendritic carbon pattern in the solidified cast mold iron, some of the markings you have shown were caused by the mold temperature differences.
