Here's a nice pair of bitters for the beginning collector:

On the left, nice clean aqua "Burdock Blood Bitters/Foster Milburn & Co./Buffalo N.Y."...Crude lip, a few bubbles and stretch marks...

On the right, dark olive brown "Ramsay's Trinidad Bitters", embossed on shoulder and on base... In good shape... A bit of ground wear is all for issues...

Auction benefits the Forum, I pay postage, winner pays the Forum by Paypal or credit card... Auction ends Saturday, February 17th at 12 noon EST...

I'll start the bidding at $39.50

There's an interesting historical note about the Trinidad Bitters... It was listed in Richard Watson's bitters book from 1965 as extremely rare (1-5 specimens), and the only known example at that time had a broken neck!!

I will be there! I will also bring the U.S.A MD bottle so you can see the embossment I can't seem to catch on film. How will I find yo? Do you have a table?

Yes, Joel... I'll have a table... If you click on the following link, you will see a photo of me and my table last year (first post)...

Downeastdigger just posted that tables are getting few and they are $25 bucks. Not bad! I just can't make up my mind if I want to be an observer the first year or a merchant.

It's early yet, Joel... And I'm casting about for a little honey to sweeten the pot...
