New Member - Dumb question

I recently acquired a bottle (or a vase) that stands about 14 in. tall. It turns out to be made of metal( i originally thought it was stoneware due to the look of it) with a raised figure of a fish on each side. It seems like it may be made of spelter (pot ) metal but I am unsure at this point. I can find nothing on the net that referes to something like this. The fact that it is metal rules out home made. Hopefully it is not a Walmart made to look old vase. Does anyone know of any bottles/ flasks etc made of metal? Hope I am not wasting everyones time. I may be able to post pics tomorrow if anyone is interested. Thanks fro your time.
