So me and my brother were always in the few creeks behind out house, always finding bottles, some have survived, but here lately I've been given a garbage can full of bottles, collected by my late grandfather in law! I've also dug a few out of the ground myself here lately, as I walk around ppl's yards for work! Oh and my dad worked at Coca-Cola for 36 yrs, and has a few nice bottles, some unopened! I'm gonna attempt to upload a few that I've already taken pics, however may need to get better lighting on a dew

Welcome to the site!

You can see that the bottle is an amber colored poison.
It's machine made, thus no older than 120 years. I'm thinking 1915 era up to 1930's.
My own interest is in handmade bottles; but, I'm sure other members of the forum will have more definitive information for you derived from the embossed code on the base.

Nice find on the poison! The labeled versions of these I've seen have always been antiseptic tablets although they could have been used for other things as well - antiseptic tablets were one of the most common things stored in poison bottles to survive with their labels. I don't think the numbers on the base mean anything, looks like a mold number rather than a date code.

Never heard of L.L. Lyons, looks like an 1890s-1910s-ish medicine bottle. The unmarked one looks like some sort of Heinz-ish product, like horseradish or something, and probably dates to around the 1910s-1930s. I'm sure you know what Listerine is, those are quite common and also date to the first few decades of the 20th century.

Is there a market for errors, say when I have a coke bottle, with Welch's orange lid, and still full, plus a tab bottle with a sprite lid, however must've leaked contents? As mentioned earlier, dad worked at small plant in Alexandria, la, which bottled when he first started, which blew my mind as a young kid, but shut down bottling division not terribly long after he started!

There is video of a very similar poison bottle as it's being unearthed from an old privy pit in ND by the guys on YouTube channel "Below the Plains" :
The poison bottle emerges at 7 minutes into the video "Moonshiner's Hidden Compartment Opened After 100 Years"

(I tried to post link for you, but it is not working today for some reason.)

There is a market for errors from the glassmaking plant, but not from the bottling plant unfortunately. There's no way to know if it was actually an error from the plant or just something made yesterday by someone with some old bottle caps and a capping tool. I've got a Sun Crest bottle with a non-matching cap and contents, I always assumed it was just something someone put together for display.
