Went for a dive in one of my favorite winter sites. Its still chilly here but as long as you got the right gear its warmer under water getting out and getting in is the hard part. This particular site has a bridge and working waterfront going back to the late 1600's (bridge 1760's ish). In the summer you can spear flounder and look for bottles and artifacts and get an oyster or two in cold winter months. Today was blowing major whitecaps down river making it about 10-20 degrees. Water temp was better at 30 degress. Once you start working w the current you actually warm up.(quick backround for those that think it might be crazy to dive in winter). Found a few oysters for dinner, a cool Maine milk(not sure of town yet i have to clean) it could be Biddeford., Pyro Biddeford soda, Old fishing weights, nice old tranfer lid, hock wine, and a Dundee. Good dive 27ft max, 76min. Come on spring!
