Pardon a cry for help here... Came across this and have no clue. Not sure of age, use, and what the technical term is to call this type of bottle? Your thoughts? It stands about 5 1/2 inches tall, has a rough pontil, and lots of pinpoint size bubbles and several large ones. In some light you can see a bit of a swirl in the glass as if it was twisted while soft. Thanks for opinions....[attachment=Bot1.jpg][attachment=Bot2.jpg][attachment=Bot3.jpg]

A lot of bottles were turned in the mold; to reduce and/or eliminate the mold seams. When this was done the glass form was turned in the mold while the blow pipe was still attached. This often put twisted vertical lines in the neck glass; both left ane right leaning - depending on which way the bottle blower turned his pipe. Right or Lefrt. Some of the bottles had embossing on the bottom plate and I have two - where the letters were so screwed up - one can hardly read the words. Also when they turned the glass while in a dip mold ( or the dip mold part ) the glass will show the smear on the tlass and that smear will turn on the lifted out glass when the shoulders were pulled back. I spend lot of time studying the marks on glass.
