I went to an estate sale today and found embossed milk bottles for sale from the North Hill Dairy. North Hill would be a local from Akron Ohio. They wanted 5 dollars a piece for quart, pint, and half pint sizes. I tried to do a search on the North Hill Dairy to see how rare or popular these were to justify the price they were asking. I came up empty handed.
They looked like dug bottles due to the condition of them. Chipped and scratched.
I understand condition is everything but if these were a rare bottle, I can see 5 bucks.
Strange though how I can't find anything on them
Can anyone assist me in history of this dairy? Where it was located? Bought out? Anything would be appreciated.

Well it was half price Sunday at the estate sale so I had to go but 1 of the locals I mentioned above. I attached a photo. There was another gentleman buying up the bottles as well. For 2.50 I figured at least it could be an addition to my local milk collection.Still have not found any information on it. I will be going to the old business registries to see where it appears as a business. The picture is hard to see but it is an embossed with North Hill Dairy Akron O REGISTERED and there is a W with a 5 in it on one side. A large K on the bottom base. And the other side must be the company Logo. A Large N with a D below it and a H above the large N and One Pint Liquid below the logo.

They have a quart listed as "North Hill Dairy" in the milk inventory for $45, which is probably way over priced. For $2.50 I'd say you did good, I can't find much about the company either.

Thanks 2find4me [;)]Well in researching old Directories, I found out that at least in 1925, They were established enough to advertise in the local directory.I am digging around more and will post anything new.

Bottle rocket, You asked about this a long time ago; but they just tore down an old building next to my home and I found a bottle as you described. As I was told many years ago, this building had housed the original Lawson's Milk Company. They were a dairy and later a convience store in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio dating back to the 1920's or 30's locally until sometime in the 60's or early 70's.The bottle I found has a small chip on the upper, outer lip.

Do you have a picture of the bottle? It would be interesting to see the embossing on it.
