hi everyone, got to dig for a while today, don't care for these shorter daylight hours[]. not enought digging time. did find a couple of things. a 24 oz high rock soda, m&p soda, and a cloverland pint from 34. a broken bottle embossed purity products company, phia, pa. also a piece of very thick glass, about 3" X 3" square, 2 1/2" tall with beveled edges, etched on frt. B.& O. R.R. about 1" down on inside is a lip. any thoughts as to what the B & O object was for, would be gratey appreciated. thanks for looking, rhona

hi mike and bryan, thanks for looking, hope you got more treats then tricks[:D]. i was very please with the milk bottle, it's the 1st one i found in this spot not broken. where i'm digging is about a block up a steep hill from the B & O rail road. with the lip inside the square i figured something set in it? with all the beveled edges, it must have been a nice object at one time. good luck digging, rhona

Cool finds Rhona. Train stuff and bottles, hog heaven for me. I have some train stuff books I'll look in. Could have been part of a desk set like an inkwell holder or dining car thing for holding salt n peppers, etc. Looks SCA so would predate 1920 I would guess. Go back and find the other half.
