It's cold and rainy here today, and so I just stayed inside most of the day. I got talkin' with the ol' bottle collection, and most of the Teal ones mentioned that they wanted a group portrait taken, so here it is....... (they were pleased with how it turned out).

Hi Ron,

Yep, there's two teal Wolfies back there. Large size is teal green, green, green, raised circle on the base...from Down Under?? (I'm not so sure, though, because I dug a killer small-size yellow-green one in San Francisco with a raised circle on the base, also). The small size one you've seen before I think, double ring collar, light blue teal, no "s" after "WOLFE's", iron pontil.

Hey BB, That actually looks like a slight push up or possably a pontil mark. The Aussie bottles have and embossed, raised, circle.

Hi Warren,

Yeah, I'm not so sure all the Wolfies with the raised circle on the bottom are from overseas.

Here's the base of the small size Wolfie I dug in San Francisco (not that it was lost there by an Aussie, mind you):

I've always thought it might be a refired OP. It was found along with a few OP umbrella inks, although I've never seen or heard of a refired OP on a Wolfies.

Here's the base of the large teal one I have also:

Looks kinda' the same, but different, too...

Just another mystery, I suppose... Anybody else want to venture a guess??

BTW, Here's another shot of the light olive-yellow one from SF:

It's one of my favorites!!

Geez...gotta' go again, the pontiled bottles are now accusing the smooth bases of somehow being different.......[]

Yeap, That is a better pic. It has a raised circle and a little raised dot like the Aussie bottles but that still doesn't mean thats where it came from. May just be a makers mark.

I got an Aussie Wolfe with the circle and dot on the bottom but my editor is on the fritz.
