I was out walking the pup today and really had no intention of bottle hinting (yeah right) and visited a park that was a residential area years ago.
At first I noticed a brilliant blue bottom of a bottle sticking out of an ash pile. As I pulled it out I was surprised to see it in tact. It had such a beautiful bluish tint to it. Plenty of seeds and an awesome crackling pattern throughout the bottle. I am not sure if this is a natural effect over years in the ground, heat, or type of glass but it is a keeper.
I believe it has a Phoenix style lip.
It is a GEO J RENNER pure beer AKRON O.
I have another in my collection I found last year but this one is much bluer than the other one.
I am thinking 1900-1920? Maybe earlier.
The other bottle I found was about 12" from the beer. At first I thought it was an ABM cork top so I actually threw it back down. After second thoughts, I picked it up and sure enough, it was a BIM. Looks to be an applied top. 24-S-B on the bottom.
I am thinking 1890-1920.
Both keepers in my book.
What do you think?
Photos not uploading from my phone so I will attach another way,
