A friend of mine I met this summer is into bottles and he showed me these today . He rescued them from inside some walls of an old house he was working on.. Very nice collection. I used to have this same ketchup years ago.
The bottle is round with one flat side. Base is embossed "Pat Jan 22 1878" The label reads in script "One Teaspoonful three times a day with a little water" C.H. Harden was listed in 1884 and 1898 in the Maine Directories.
I have dug many of the bottles in the top photo all without labels. Having the labels on them make them much more alive. Good saves and thanks for sharing.
Wow, love seein those. I love the fact that I've seen those bottles so often, and not known for sure what was inside them. I may print up that first picture.
