Old or New?

This is a very pretty bottle, regardless. It's not a poison. Chemist bottle looking perhaps, but the base has me wonding if this is a newer piece. Since most poisons came after the pontil erra, we dont have a one with a pontil. So spotting "fakes" are not as easy for me. Hard to see if there is base wear or not...there is something.... I like the look of the bottle regarless.

It is a pretty common British apothecary bottle. I think it is what they call a 'syrup' mouth and they had a loose fitting non-ground stopper. They were made over a very long period of time. They usually have pharmacy labels and could have held anything from honey to poison.

Thanks.. Just have never seen one listed before...not in the poison dept. anyway.
Common or not, it's pretty. But at least it's real.

They are very nice and it is a chance to get a pontiled and colored bottle at a reasonable price.
